Announcements From PFAA

A PFAA e-SPEAKER SERIES!

As Malaysia emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, a recovery remains subject to a high degree of uncertainty. Macroeconomic conditions have been dislocated, as widespread containment measures constrained production, employment and incomes, generating massive global demand shockwaves. We are now confronted with a weak and uneven demand environment, depleted policy space, and elevated uncertainty, drawing concerns over the sustainability of a recovery. This crisis has also made salient pockets of vulnerabilities, namely financial, trade and geopolitical. Any recovery certainly depends on the visibility and mitigation of these risks.

Be informed and join PFAA's second e-Speaker Series with Malaysia's esteemed economists and policy makers Dr. Norhana Endut, Nurhisham Hussein, Dr. Richard Record and Dr. Hans Genberg as we discuss Malaysia's road to economic recovery.

This year marks the Fourth time in which PFAA organizes the Youth Economic Forum (YEF), a preeminent national gathering of some of the most respected and influential economic thinkers and policy makers in Malaysia.

In its previous instalments, YEF has brought together more than 1,000 distinguished young professionals guests and more than 40 of the country’s forefront political and business leaders, policymakers and academicians of various fields, to engage in dialogue on the trajectory of the nation's development.

Beside promoting new perspectives on economic development, the YEF has been a platform for young professionals to seek innovative solutions, and to bridge the gap between government, industry and the public at large.

This year, the #YEF2019 aims to place youth at the centre of national development on key agendas such as Shared Prosperity 2030 and the Climate Change Act. On top of that, issues such as the future of the National Economic Policy (NEP) will also be discussed at the forum.

Our distinguished speakers hail from public and private sectors, civil societies, and academia, providing a great opportunity for young professionals to engage with thought leaders in the public policy area.

The Perdana Fellows Alumni Association (PFAA) congratulates our new Fellows and wishes you all the very best in your Fellowship!

Extraordinary General Meeting 2019

The Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on the 21 April 2019, has concluded with the successful election of Samuel and Muaz as PFAA's new President and Vice President II respectively. To view the full lineup of our new committee, please visit here.

The Perdana Fellowship is a prestigious programme established by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2013 to provide young Malaysians a first-hand experience in matters of national governance.

Under this programme, Perdana Fellows are placed under the purview of Ministers of various Ministries to assist in the highest form of governance.

Upon completion of the fellowship, Fellows become a member of the Perdana Fellows Alumni Association (PFAA), which continues the culture of fostering a close network between youth leaders and government, corporate and NGO leaders.
